Our after-school programs include: Homework assistance, group mentoring, employment and internship opportunities, recreational and educational field trips and civic engagement activities such as special events, beautification projects, community clean-ups. Our after-school youth are also trained to be peer leaders in the area of violence and drug prevention and to be mentors to younger youth. Additional programming is geared toward Workforce Development skills such as resume writing, interview skills, appropriate dress, personal presentation skills, and the importance of being timely and responsible employees.
Our typical after-school program schedule consists of the following:

*Teens in Hartford Promoting Sober Youth (TIHPSY), is an underage drinking prevention program geared toward educating the public and youth on the dangers of underage drinking and other drug use. TIHPSY is also a youth coalition responsible for training other youth to be effective advocates, peer leaders, and youth educators in the area of drug prevention. TIHPSY program participants meet twice weekly and convene monthly coalition meeting. Trainings include research skills, public speaking, advocacy skills, presentation skills and learning how to work as a team.
