The Hartford Care Response Team (HCRT) is a hospital community and school linked violence, prevention, and intervention program that connects victims with trauma-informed services and resources that encourage healing from traumatic events. We help victims stabilize their lives, navigate the criminal justice system, and restore safety and security in their homes. Within 24 hours of receiving a referral or walk-in, our case management team follows up with the client and connects them to services they may need such as therapy, connection to legal services or to address other social determinates of health such as housing, food, transportation and follow-up medical care.

The HCRT is a member of the Health Alliance for Violence Intervention (HAVI) and has key collaborations with the City of Hartford's HVIP Collaborative, Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Hartford Healthcare, Trinity Health of New England, Hartford Public Schools and countless civic, community and faith-based providers.
